Description: Department for cross-border cooperation from its very beginning was a part of Ministry of European Integration. After its restructuring and forming a joint Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration it became a constitutive part of Central Office for Development Strategy and Coordination of EU Funds (CODEF). Today, as then, the department is in charge of monitoring of use of EU funds, specifically the unit for implementation of contracted projects. With a new pre-accession instrument IPA it is in charge for its second component: Cross-Border Cooperation. The department, today, is a constitutive part of Directorate for integrated regional development which is a part of Ministry of Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management. It is formed of two units which are: Section for CBC with Member States and Transnational Programmes and Section for Non- member States

Other EU Structural Funds / IPA / ENPI programmes managed/ nationally coordinated by Ministry of Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management:
The Ministry coordinates CARDS and PHARE Programme and IPA Component II and Component IIIc Regional Competitiveness.
