Thematic Pole 3: KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER TO SMES

Knowledge transfer is a key aspect of the innovation agenda and SMEs are vital as knowledge exploiters. In today's global world, maximizing the use of existing knowledge and generating new knowledge for products and services is crucial to maintain and enhance the EU's competitiveness. The SEE Programme has a number of projects which address the transfer issue from a number of perspectives covering both the research side and the SME sector as the exploiter. Capitalisation and synergy development will be possible both within the SEE Programme but also with other initiatives that project providers are involved with. With the key position for SMEs being developed in Horizon 2020 the possibilities for collaborative working will undoubtedly increase markedly between relevant initiatives.
