Thematic Pole 8: REGIONAL MOBILITY

The SEE Programme approved a number of projects focusing on improving regional accessibility of passengers, by developing approaches directed to enabling easy access to information, facilitating the use of public transport, harmonising passengers rights and quality standards. The project have concentrated on different territorial dimensions as well as target groups, and they now have the chance to combine their results to draw the map of an improved passengers' mobility and increased chances for seamless accessibility in the region. It could be the occasion to analyse how the achieved results can be enhanced so that accessibility of passengers in the region can be substantially improved. Expected are also recommendations in view of a more targeted future project development, and identification of the cases for which transnational cooperation is the necessary dimension for tackling certain aspects of regional mobility.
