SEE presents its transport projects at the Danube Region Transport Days

The SEE JTS has been invited  to the Danube Region Transport Days that took place in Ljubljana, organised within the Priority Area 1B of the EUSDR "To improve mobility and intermodality - rail, road and air",coordinated by Slovenia and Serbia, to present the transnational projects financed in the framework of the SEE Programme?s priority 3, Improvement of Accessibility.

The conference was meant to stimulate the process of awareness, networking, planning and developing the transport system of the Danube region and has enjoyed the participation, under the supervision of the priority area coordinator, Franc Žepič and Miodrag Poledica, of numerous stakeholders of the transport sector of the region, including the Director of DG MOVE, Jean-Eric Paquet, and the Head of Unit of the DG Regio, Colin Wolfe.

The SEE JTS has also raised the attention of the audience on the specifiec features ad characteristics of successful transnational projects on transport, which has lead to their approval within the SEE Programme, and guided the potential applicants in the understanding of the menu of funding opportunities offered by the EU, which need to be carefully selected and coordinated for financing a specific transport project within a broader strategy of regional accessibility:
