SEE Programme participates in the European Cooperation Day

On 21 September 2013 and the surrounding days the second edition of the European Cooperation Day will take place to celebrate the achievements of more than 20 years of territorial cooperation in Europe. The SEE Programme wants to join forces with the rest of ETC programmes for this edition with several events at national level.

After the success of European Cooperation Day in 2012 that brought together 70 programmes and resulted in 281 events across 36 countries in Europe, all ECT programmes, projects and related institutions are invited to participate in the 2013 edition. Personally supported by EU commissioner Johannes Hahn and by European Parliament member Marie-Thérese Sanchez-Schmid, European Cooperation Day invites us again this year to showcase both results achieved and ongoing projects bringing the European neighbours even closer.

South East Europe Programme organised last year for the EC Day 2012 a project exhibition and a press conference on a boat in the Danube river (click here for more information).

This year, some SEE countries will organise activities at national level and a poster competition has been recently promoted. The recent video on SEE projects will be broadcasted in the Republic of Moldova national television and in Serbia, Romania and Albania the SEE programme will be promoted in the framework of the other activities planned to celebrate the European Cooperation Day. You can contact the national contact points in those countries for additional information.

More information about the EC Day, the events that will be happening and major achievements of Territorial Cooperation (flagship stories) as well as the video trailer produced can be found in the EC Day website.

We hope you will be able to participate in the celebration of this spirit of cooperation throughout Europe.
